One Hundred Cats Test the Furniture
Behind the scenes at IKEA’s cat commercial
The mega-design store wanted to run an experiment to test their furniture. So they invited people to bring their pet cats to one of their largest stores after hours. They put up barriers (which some of the kitties jumped right over, of course), and let all the cats out of their carriers.
What happened next? Check out the video.
Of course, the real purpose of the experiment was to produce a TV commercial, and you see part of that at the end of the video. It took a few hours for the cats to settle down so the video guys could get what film makers would call “the money shot.”
The cats are a bit freaked out at first, but they seem to get used to it – just like when you take them to a new home.
What do you say? Would you have your kitty take part in this?
