Dog Waits by Grave – Six Years
Spot
After Wayne Giroux died in June, 2010, Spot wouldn’t give up hope that her beloved person would come back.
Every day she kept going back to her favorite spot along a country road in Loan Oak, Texas, where she’d always waited for him to pick her up.
“I have no doubt that’s what she’s waiting for,” Giroux’s son Paul told interviewers. “It breaks my heart every time I go over there.”
Paul often drives by there in his truck, and Spot greets him and wags her tail. But they both know that it’s not Paul she’s waiting for.
“If you can ever find anything that loves you that much, it’s the most precious gift in the world,” he said.
