How Other Animals See the World
While we humans have three types of photoreceptors in our eyes, mantis shrimps have 12. Many birds can see in the ultraviolet range. Some of them have distance vision up to eight times greater than humans. And while sharks can’t see in color, they can see up to 10 times better than humans in clear water.
