Puppies Take Themselves to Hospital
A pair of very thin, homeless puppies walked into a Corpus Christi, Texas, hospital looking for medical attention. Although the hospital only caters to humans, they made sure the doggies got the treatment they needed. Hospital staff treated the pups, who were then taken to the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
It’s not the first time homeless pets have taken themselves to the hospital. Two years ago, in New Mexico, when the automatic doors at San Juan Regional Medical Center’s emergency room slid open one night, a German shepherd walked in, blood on his nose and paw, and a puncture hole in one leg. According to the animal control officer, it looked like the pooch had gotten into a tangle with another dog. After being treated, he spent the night at the animal shelter and was claimed by his person the next day.
